1000 TREES FOR 100 YEARS
Duplication can be reduced by providing a community based approach to leadership development, applying the 10X approach to vital projects. this has already been proven effective in Tamworth.
One example is the Rotary Tree Planting project, where in 2021, the clubs joined together to create a much bigger vision. THis resulted in an increaded collaboration, greater community involvement and the 10 fold result of not 100 tree but 1,000 trees being planted.
Our first project, RU Volunteering, established an information ‘Hub’ for What’s on When – What’s needed Where, and not just in the Volunteer space. This project brought together organisations requiring volunteers with those seeking to contribute by volunteering.
It provides a capacity to list all events, commercial and otherwise, in the region, organisations with a access a wider pool of volunteers, volunteers with a transcript of work performed and developing networks that can lead to career opportunities andCommercial Businesses, NGO/NFP with effectively scheduling projects and events to avoid date clashes.
Peter Ryan, one of the founding members of 10X Tamworth applying the principle were able to progress project have been talked about in Tamworth for 20-25 years.
Pater, member of Tamworth Aquatic Group were able to get all Councils to unanimously vote in favor and $67 million dollar community project.
